What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Draft – pending legal review

Overview

Hobby Airport Parking ("we", "us") operates hobbyairportparking.com and a surface-lot parking facility at 7625 Monroe Rd, Houston, TX 77061. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We try to keep this short and plain-spoken. If anything is unclear, email us at privacy@hobbyairportparking.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide when booking. Reservations are fulfilled by our booking partner, Premium Parking, on a co-branded landing page. To book, you provide your email address, vehicle license plate number, travel dates, and payment information. This information is collected and processed by Premium Parking, not by us; see "Third parties" below.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information about each visit -- IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps -- in standard server logs. We use this information to operate and secure the site.

Information you send us directly. If you email us, we'll receive your email address and whatever else you put in the message.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate the website and the parking facility.
  • Communicate with you about your reservation, including confirmations, schedule changes, and refunds.
  • Verify your vehicle on entry and exit using your license plate.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We use Google Ads to measure how well our own advertising performs; how that works, and how to opt out, is described under “Cookies, analytics, and advertising” below.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

To render pages and remember basic preferences, the site uses only strictly necessary cookies.

For analytics we use PostHog in a cookieless, anonymous mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not build a profile of you across visits.

We also run Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how many visitors who arrive from our Google ads go on to start a parking reservation. This uses Google's advertising cookies and sends a conversion signal to Google, which may use that information as described in its own privacy policy. Because our audience is in the United States, we do not show a cookie consent banner, but you can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized Google advertising at Google My Ad Center.

Premium Parking's booking page and other third-party pages we link to may set their own cookies. Their cookie practices are governed by their own policies.

Third parties

We share information with the following service providers, only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function:

  • Premium Parking -- our reservation and payment processor. When you click a Reserve or Subscribe button on this site you are taken to a Premium Parking page where booking, payment, and confirmation emails are handled. Premium Parking acts as an independent data controller for that information; their privacy policy applies.
  • Google -- we run Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the results of our own advertising. When you click a daily-reservation button, a conversion signal is sent to Google. See “Cookies, analytics, and advertising” above for details and how to opt out.
  • Hosting and infrastructure -- Vercel hosts this website and processes server logs on our behalf as a data processor.
  • Law enforcement and regulators -- where required by valid legal process.

How long we keep information

We keep server logs for up to 90 days for security and operational troubleshooting. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records.

Reservation details (email, license plate, payment) live in Premium Parking's systems. Their retention periods are governed by their privacy policy.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hobbyairportparking.com. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

Because most reservation data is held by Premium Parking, requests relating to your booking, license plate, or payment may need to be directed to them. We'll help you route the request if you contact us first.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information we collect, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all pages on this site. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or in an email if we have one for you.
