Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Overview

Hobby Airport Parking is operated by The Monroe Parking Group, LLC.

Hobby Airport Parking ("we", "us") operates hobbyairportparking.com and a surface-lot parking facility at 7625 Monroe Rd, Houston, TX 77061. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We try to keep this short and plain-spoken. If anything is unclear, email us at privacy@hobbyairportparking.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide when you reserve. Reservations are made here, on this site. A daily reservation asks for your travel dates and email address. After completing a daily reservation, you may optionally request one text about that reservation and, if so, we also collect the mobile number you enter. Requesting a monthly pass asks for your name, phone number, and email address. We do not take payment on this site and never see your card details: you pay the operator at the lot when you arrive, by scanning the posted QR sign and entering your license plate there.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site. Like most websites, our service providers may record technical information about each visit, such as the IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps. We use this information to operate and secure the site.

Information you send us directly. If you email us, we'll receive your email address and whatever else you put in the message.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate the website and the parking facility.
  • Communicate with you about your reservation, including confirmations and schedule changes.
  • Send the single reservation text you request, containing the lot address, arrival steps, and shuttle pickup number.
  • Pass a monthly-pass request to the lot operator so they can contact you and set the pass up.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We measure how well our own advertising performs; how that works, and how to opt out, is described under “Cookies, analytics, and advertising” below.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookieless, anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used. This analytics process sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not build a profile of you across visits.

We also run Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how many visitors who arrive from our Google ads go on to complete a parking reservation here. This uses Google's advertising cookies and sends a conversion signal to Google, which may use that information as described in its own privacy policy. Because our audience is in the United States, we do not show a cookie consent banner, but you can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized Google advertising at Google My Ad Center.

If you reach the site from one of our Google ads, the ad click carries an advertising identifier in the web address, and Google's own tag records it in a cookie it sets on this domain. When you later submit a reservation form here, the conversion signal Google receives lets it match that reservation back to the ad that brought you. We do not send your identifiers on to any booking site, because reservations are completed here rather than handed off to a third party.

We also keep that advertising identifier ourselves. We use browser records that are no more than 90 days old; older records are removed when the site next reads them. If you make a reservation during that time, the identifier is saved alongside it in our reservation record. We use it only to work out which of our ads produced real bookings, so we can stop paying for the ones that don't. It is not used to build a profile of you and is never combined with your reservation to target you. We disclose it only to service providers that process our reservation and advertising records for us. If you did not arrive from one of our ads, we do not create this separate attribution record. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes it.

Third-party pages we link to may set their own cookies. Their cookie practices are governed by their own policies.

Third parties

We share information with the following service providers, only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function:

  • The lot operator – Parking Management Company (PMC) runs the facility day to day and takes payment at the lot. Your license plate is collected by them, not by us: you enter it yourself at their QR sign when you pay, and they operate the license-plate recognition that admits and releases your vehicle at the gate. That plate data is held by them under their own practices, and we have no copy of it. If you request a monthly pass, we send them your name, phone number, and email address so they can contact you about it; daily reservations are not sent to them.
  • Service providers – companies that help us host and secure the site, maintain reservation records, send confirmation emails or requested texts, and support site operations. They may process only the information needed to perform those services for us.
  • Law enforcement and regulators – where required by valid legal process.

We do not sell or share mobile information, text-messaging opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

If you request a reservation text, we send one message per request and reservation, with no recurring or scheduled messages. Message and data rates may apply.

How long we keep information

We keep server logs for up to 90 days for security and operational troubleshooting. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records.

Reservation records, including SMS consent records, and monthly-request records are kept for as long as we need them to run the lot and understand demand. Because we take no payment on this site, no card details are ever stored. Anything you pay at the lot, and any license plate you enter there, is held by the lot operator under their own retention practices.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hobbyairportparking.com. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

Requests about a payment you made at the lot, or about a license plate you entered there, may need to be directed to the lot operator, since that information is theirs and not ours. We'll help you route the request if you contact us first.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information we collect, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all pages on this site. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or in an email if we have one for you.
